Rob Phillips
Rob Phillips has worked primarily in the multi-family, residential, commercial and acquisition & development construction industries for the past 16 years.
His experience began when he was hired as a Project Foreman with Corvallis, OR based construction company to oversee a 14 unit multi-million dollar subdivision. Phillips was responsible for the scheduling and coordination all of the subcontractors, scheduling the city/county inspections, and making sure the project was on track to be completed on time.
In 2003, Mr. Phillips decided to expand his construction knowledge and learn the lending side of construction. He was independently hired to perform the construction inspections for a Northwest construction lender. He quickly found a large demand for third party construction monitoring and formed Oregon Inspection Company, which specialized in residential, multi-family, A&D and commercial construction progress inspections.
Mr. Phillips successfully grew Oregon Inspection Company to over 40 accounts with 26 independent inspectors performing over 1,200 monthly inspections in OR, WA, CA, CO, and ID. While at Oregon Inspection Company. Mr. Phillips’ duties included: scheduling all of the multi-state inspections, billing, and performing many of the Oregon & SW Washington inspections.
Mr. Phillips then partnered with Bo Oswald in late 2007 to form Northwest Monitoring. This partnership allowed the firm to provide comprehensive Residential, Commercial, Due Diligence and Owners Representation services under the single firm.
Mr. Phillips currently manages, reviews and coordinates all commercial and residential project reviews, monthly draw inspections and field service inspections.

Tom Finnerty
Tom joined Northwest Monitoring in 2019 as our Chief Operating Officer. He has 22 years of leadership experience in a variety of industries.
Most recently he was the managing director at Kforce in Portland and spent two terms as president of HIMSS Oregon.
Tom’s experience brings additional organization and process improvement as Northwest Monitoring expands its services and geological footprint. He is a valuable asset to our businesses success.
Tom does a great job at making sure the NWM employees stay motivated and organized in order to keep the business running as efficiently as possible while also considering employees emotional needs as well.

Micah Dierickx
Micah’s construction career began in 2003 after he graduated from Oregon State University with B.S. in Construction Management from the school of Construction Engineering & Management.
He was then hired by a large commercial construction firm to work as a Project Engineer in their Sacramento, CA. He quickly grew through the ranks and was promoted to a Project Manager within one year after the initial hire. During this time he worked on small demo projects, site upgrade projects and new ground up projects that ranged from $200,000-$13M.
Additionally, he was also considered the “go to” Project Manager to work on numerous expansions and remodels of existing facilities due to his extensive coordination and communication skills that helped maintain an efficient and streamline project.
In 2010, Micah relocated back to Portland to begin work for a local General Contractor to work as a Project Manager. During his tenure with the company he worked on a multitude of projects ranging from small Tenant Improvement projects, new ground up and design build projects that ranged from $50,000.00 to $10M.
As with the previous company he was now considered the “go to” guy for all design builds that were awarded. Micah worked successfully on multiple design build projects from the initial schematic design all the way through to the on time construction completion and turnover of the project.
Over the 15 year career in the construction field, Micah has gained great understanding in all aspects of construction. This ranges from feasibility of construction, design, estimating, scheduling/coordinating and contract review. He also understands buyout/negotiating, writing contracts, delivery and procurement, submittals, RFI’s, change orders. In addition he also experience in cost/budget management, review and approval of subcontractor pay applications, owner pay applications, quality assurance, value engineering, acquiring permits, closeout and warranty items.
Micah is a valuable member of the NWM team and critical manager of our construction project monitoring processes.

Tori Rex
Tori has been working in both the residential and commercial construction industry for nearly three decades. Her experience began with working for a large roofing supplier in northern California.
In 1989, she moved back to Oregon and worked as an administrative office assistant for a Demolition and Excavation Company. Her duties included developing office policies and procedures, business management, daily operations and implemented safety procedures within the company to help lower risks for the fast-growing company.
After a couple of years, Tori began working full time for a siding and window company owned by her spouse for 16 years and during that time she continued to work part-time at the excavation company.
While working at both companies Tori assumed the roles of Office Manager, Accounting Manager and Project Coordinator. Her responsibilities included maintaining and processing all accounting aspects of both companies (A/P, A/R, payroll and HR), estimating, contracts, monthly draws/billings, lien waivers, material handling, and scheduling.
In 2007, she moved on to working in commercial construction for a large general contractor with over 20 offices in the United States. Tori was the Administrative Assistant to the Senior Vice President, Risk Management, Estimating and Marketing departments.
She also assisted the Project Managers and Safety Managers on a regular basis for all projects in the Northwest. Her duties included maintaining monthly operation and projection reports, subcontract review, maintaining subcontractor insurance certificates, AIA billings, RFI’s, Submittals and provide training to all project coordinators and office personnel.
In 2013, Tori took on the role of Office Manager at NWM. She manages the ongoing report administration, pay application auditing, lien waiver review, scheduling and field inspector coordination. Tori is a tremendous asset of the NWM team.

Nick Lettin
Nick Lettin has worked in some facet of the construction industry since high school and knowing he wanted a career in construction, he attended Colorado State University and received a bachelor degree in Construction Management in 2006.
After graduation, he worked for a large commercial mechanical contractor in Denver Colorado. The mechanical projects he was involved with ranged from Medical Office Buildings (MOB’s), to fountains, to LEED Platinum High-rise Offices. While there, Nick’s responsibilities included subcontractor management, buy out, LEED documentation, billing preparation, and budget analysis.
Nick relocated back to Portland in 2010 where he signed on with an international EPC (Engineer, Procure, Construct) Firm. He held a variety of positions within this company including Estimator, Project Manager, and Superintendent.
During his involvement in the pre-construction side of projects, he helped clients with conceptual estimates, budget estimates and feasibility studies. Some of the project types included Solar Installations, Carbon Fiber Facilities, Lithium Ion Battery Manufacturing, Food and Beverage Production, and Waste Recycling Facilities.
Project locations were spread throughout the United States and primarily involved international clients. During his travel he has been able to develop his management practices and adapt to a wide variety of jurisdictions, owners, and contractors.
Now, as part of the NWM team, Nick performs monthly draw inspections, conceptual estimating and project cost reviews for clients throughout the Northwest.
